This linocut print is the first piece in my new series inspired by time spent in the Atacama Desert of Chile. For me, travel is never only about landscapes - it is also about inner journeys, crossings into hidden places within myself.
The Atacama taught me that beauty and fear, emptiness and abundance, can exist side by side. Its vast silence revealed the paradoxes that make life full: not this or that, but this and that. In this work, I’ve translated those lessons into lines and textures, exploring how opposites coexist in harmony.
Hand-carved and printed in black and white, this piece carries the rawness of desert light and shadow. It is both stark and tender, quiet and intense - an invitation to reflect on your own inner landscapes, just as I did while standing among salt flats and endless skies.
This is just the beginning of a larger project, where photography and linocut meet. I invite you to take this first step with me - into silence, structure, and the fullness that can be found in absence.
